Thanh Chuong is known as the leading artist of contemporary art of Vietnam. Beginning his career very early, after more than half a century of creativity and dedication to Vietnam art, he has produced a large volume of art works. They include statues, sketching of war, oil paintings, lacquer paintings … in which makings shock is a  huge, special work bearing his name. HISTORY OF THANH CHUONG VIET PALACE

Thanh Chuong ArtistIn 2001, a man looks vulgar to find the land in the north of Hanoi – Soc Son.

Soc  Son  is a masterpiece of spiritual land  where locates scenic and charming mountain, lakes and temples without the effect of hustle development of the urban. That man has chosen a good situation ( feng shui) locating on a hillside and started building his dream home. That man is the famous artist of Vietnam art – Thanh Chuong.

In August 2001, the first bucket of soil was shoveled, turning arid land and hills a beautiful castle of Vietnam as in magical fairytale, a national landmark. As the architect, the general engineer, he his the sole author of this building.

In an urgent atmosphere of building, workers coming from many different regions construct under his direction. Amazingly, as a magic, in early 2003, the work of 10,000 m2 has completed its construction. At the time, it lacks the land wall house an the outdoor water puppet theater associated with the dining area, a construction speed that can be put into the record book. Even weirder, the miracle was repeated later with the construction of Thien Huong tower in 2013, the latest spiritual work of Viet Phu that was built in the shortest time ever – 9 days.

Viet Phu Thanh Chuong became famous from the first day of construction. Visitors from everywhere usually flock to visit due to curiosity and especially to enjoy the scale and beauty of Thanh Chuong Viet Palace. The humor around the building and its owner quickly spreads throughout the south and the north and so on with unprecedented fact. Even the name “ Viet Phu Thanh Chuong” also attracted attention and made debates. Some told him crazy, the other believe he is genius.

From him, Viet Phu Thanh Chuong is as work following his own art point of view on how to preserve and protect cultural heritage. He made of with a spirit of highest independence regarding viewpoints of art as well as investment costs. It has been widely proved that at any time and at any where, creative ideas ahead of their times are usually not easy to understand even for majority of the public.

A picture may have its sketch. And architectural work need a design. But Viet Phu Thanh Chuong has neither draft nor design. It is true. So far, it remains only a small picture, taken by his wife, shooting Thanh Chuong drafting the house on stone table to explain fro the construction foreman. It should have a book to tell all a bout the construction of this huge art work. Certainly it would be very interesting book.

Completed and make its shine in 2009, his preceding – times idea has produced a work of art with cultural significance, contributing greatly to the beauty of culture and development of cultural tourism of Hanoi capital.
